Sunshine & Warmer Temperatures Through the Weekend

A cool front arrived early Friday morning and will knockdown temperatures a few degrees on Friday afternoon, but, overall warming will begin for the weekend. Temperatures across the state on Friday will warm up to the 60's in north Florida, and 70's for central and south Florida, upper 70's from Palm Beach to Miami. Friday night, temperatures will take a dive to the 30's with possibilities of patchy frost early Saturday morning, but mainly for those counties north of Alachua. Over all, overnight lows in central and south Florida will remain near the 50 to 60 degree average.

On Saturday, high pressure shifts eastward pulling in moisture from the Atlantic.  The southerly flow will give way to clouds on Saturday afternoon, but mainly along the southeast coast beaches. Elsewhere, skies will be clear and sunny. Afternoon highs across the state will climb closer to the 70's in north central and central regions. Areas in and around the panhandle will stay in the mid 60's, while south Florida will top off in the mid 70's.

A mild start on Sunday will bring afternoon highs to the 70's across the state, upper 70's to 80's in south Florida. Rain chances return for everyone, especially those areas along the Gulf. Cloudiness will build late Sunday afternoon, with developing showers expected through the overnight. Most areas from the panhandle to west central Florida will keep rain chances likely, on Monday morning.
