Increasing clouds and chances for rain return to parts of the state starting Thursday, then potentially statewide over the weekend. A weak disturbance could spark a few showers over inland areas of north and central Florida Thursday afternoon. In addition to the rain chances, cloud cover will be more extensive and temperatures a little cooler. A stronger storm system is forecast to move in from the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend, leading to higher rain chances statewide, starting first in the panhandle on Saturday and moving down the peninsula on Sunday. Temperatures will be near or slightly above normal through the weekend in most areas.
