A Heat Advisory has been issued for parts of North Florida.

Hot and dry conditions will continue from the panhandle to central Florida. In the Suwannee River Valley, the National Weather Service has issues a heat advisory until 7pm. The following counties; Gilchrist, Suwannee, Columbia, Baker, and Hamilton could see heat indices anywhere between 107 degrees to 112 degrees. Elsewhere, heat indices will be below the advisory criteria but throughout inland portions of the state, temperatures are once again forecast to reach or near 100 degrees.

Despite the heat, rain chances will begin increasing today in the panhandle and western portions of the peninsula. Through Friday, a 20%-30% chance of showers and thunderstorms exists mainly west of I-75 beginning after 3pm. In south Florida, conditions will be mainly dry, but an isolated shower is possible near the coasts after 2pm.
