In contrast to much of the country, most Floridians will enjoy a warm and dry finish to the week. High pressure is back in charge, positioned again in the Mid-Atlantic states allowing an onshore flow from the Atlantic to continue.  Temperatures are forecast to run 5 to 10 degrees above normal for this time of year across most of the state through Sunday. This will generally yield highs in the lower and middle 80’s, with overnight lows falling mostly into the 60s’.  Rain chances stay away until Sunday for all but western areas of Florida’s Panhandle.

A subtropical area of moisture will push through the Panhandle beginning late Saturday, with showers and a rumble of thunder possible overnight in areas west of Tallahassee. Sunday, the system will bring more cloud cover statewide, but only a few showers are possible as it weakens and slides to our north.  The highest chances of rain are in northern areas of the state and along the Gulf Coast.

In the tropics, no storm development is expected over the next five days as the season heads into the final, traditionally quiet month of November. Feel free to “sleep in” on Sunday morning: Daylight Saving Time ends and we’ll have an extra hour, so don’t forget to adjust your clocks!
