Tropical Depression Nine became Tropical Storm Hermine Tuesday at 2 pm. NOAA Hurricane Hunters flew into the storm found tropical storm force winds and bursts of new convection (or thunderstorms) surrounding a closed center of circulation. The eighth named storm of the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season is expected to strengthen over the Gulf of Mexico and move across North Florida Thursday. Multiple hazards are possible with this storm, especially near the Nature Coast where it may even come ashore as a hurricane.
