Another cold front is moving through Florida, but this one will create quite a chill. Winds were already picking up out of the north Thursday afternoon.

It’s the wind with this front that will be most notable. For two days, a steady north breeze will make the actual temperature feel even colder in much of north and central Florida. A really large and strong ridge of high pressure is to thank for this.

Wind chills, which is what it will feel like, are likely to fall into the 30s and 40s Friday morning across the Florida Panhandle. Even colder “feels like” numbers are expected Saturday morning, possibly dipping as low as 20 in some spots.

The north breeze will continue to push the cold air into the peninsula Friday and Friday night. Temperatures will be below normal in most of Florida to start the weekend, then quickly rebound by Sunday. A light freeze is even possible Friday Night along the I-10 corridor, where overnight lows will dip into the upper 20s and lower 30s.
