Rain Chances and Heat Indices Stay High Through Friday

Florida is typically hot and humid this time of year, but for much of central and northern parts of the state, the humidity levels are exceptionally high.  Heat indices (what it feels like) will be in the 104 to 108 range Wednesday afternoon in many inland areas outside of where it rains.  Speaking of rain, those typical afternoon showers and thunderstorms could pack more of a punch in the panhandle and for parts of northeast Florida through Thursday as a rare July front makes its way all the way to the Florida-Georgia border Thursday.  Elsewhere across the peninsula, the deep influx of moisture will keep the nighttime and morning showers going near the Gulf coast, becoming more isolated and spreading inland during the afternoon hours.  Rain chances in south Florida will be on the rise by the end of the week, which is great news for many near Miami feeling the affects of the current drought.
