High rain chances across the state on Wednesday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds and hail are possible on Wednesday night and Thursday.

On Thursday, early morning showers are possible in the Panhandle. In North Central Florida, rounds of moderate to strong rain will develop by Thursday afternoon. Showers and storms will be isolated in nature and will likely produce heavy downpours and periods of lighting over the I-75 corridor through Thursday evening. The wet pattern will continue in Central Florida with the highest rain values shifting from the coast to inland areas west of I-95 on Thursday and Friday. In South Florida, daily chances for afternoon showers and storms will develop after 1pm through Saturday.
