Hurricane Dorian experienced a sudden burst of intensification Thursday evening, and as of 11 pm, became a Category 2 storm.

Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters discovered a significant drop in pressure on their most recent pass through the storm. They also found maximum sustained winds to be 105 mph.

The National Hurricane Center says Dorian is likely to strengthen further, and is now projected to make landfall near the Treasure Coast as a Category 4 storm with winds up to 140 mph.
